Re: xywrite info

Welcome to the Xywrite list. You've come to the right place -- there
are lots of very knowledgeable and helpful Xywrite experts here.

>My reporters feel they are working in the dark ages because they are in DOS

Ask them if they'd really rather spend 10 hours over the course of a
month learning a new word processing system (whichever windows one you
choose) and then face the possible consequences of losing several
hours' or a days' worth of work thanks to their lack of expertise (or
a programs' instability) -- or just continue using a great, stable,
configurable word processor.

>Does Xy work in windows

While Xywrite for Windows has many users and some proponents, few of
them are enthusiastic. Xywrite for Dos works fine in any flavor
Windows, I believe (as well as OS/2).

>and is there really something new coming out?

Yes, but many on this list are skeptical about it, since the company
which owns Xywrite has done little to address bugs and other issues in
the last few versions.
