FINDSTR (as well as FIND) is still included in Win7 at least. And there
are a couple of other command-line utilities that might be of interest,
namely:

Gnu Grep: http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/grep.htm

and Slick Grep: http://www.slickedit.com/
It is part of the trial Editor package, sgrep is located in "C:\Program
Files\SlickEditV[...]\win"
