RE: copacetic




 It appears to be a little more subtle that that. Here are four
 spellings: copasetic, copacetic, copesetic and copesettic. See
 the WordWeb thesaurus, which is quite useful if you do a good
 deal of writing. I don't know if one or two, or maybe even three,
 of these are American spellings. I cannot find the word in my
 _Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus_ (2001) <1992>, although another
 British dictionary that I have spells it "copacetic."
