I just had a conversion experience too. I heard from a colleague
who had a book MS in Italian written in XyWrite 2 (yes!), which
he wanted to convert to Word files. I had not the slightest
recollection of XY2, but I gave it a try. I opened the files in
XYDOS4, immediately output them in RTF format, and emailed them
to him. He opened them without difficulty in a recent version of
Word. Nothing was lost but a few Italian accents.
