Re: Printer Drivers

I just had a paper handling problem that had my Officejet slamming
itself around, so I called HP to ask whether it could be repaired or
should I chuck it Turned out that a part that transmits messages about
the location of the cartridge and the schedule for picking up paper
needed cleaning. HP admitted this is not covered in any current manual,
and doesn't show up as an error code.

Since the cure for an OfficeJet may well kill a LaserJet, I'm not going
to go into it here, but a call to HP might help you stave off a new
purchase for a while.
