Afraid I cannot help, but I share your frustration. The inability of XyW
to print to anything except Postscript later than an HP4 was what drove
me to Xywin and even WordImperfect. If modern printers included the kind
of docs that, say, my old Epson RX80 did, we could most of us probably
write our own printer drivers. But they don't. What, please, is eCS? I'm
interested in any alternative OSes. Have been loking at Linux, but the
different file system is off-putting, though I seem to recall seeing
something in the archives about XyW running nicely on Linux. I would
expect it to, given that XyW is written in Assembler, and so writes
directly to the hardware (to some extent anyway).

I didn't realize my e-mail app was picking up the subject from the whole
