Re: Cannot Load Printer

Sounds like you're out of memory. Windows chews up a bunch of
memory (and processing time) whenever it formats a page for
printing on an ink-jet printer -- it's basically creating a
photograph of the pages to be printed and sending them off to
the printer as images. Solution: buy your pc more memory.

I've just purchased and installed a new Printer - a Lexmark Z23.
Whenever I try to load it as part of XYWIN I get a message "Not enough
Memory to perform Function". This occurs if the printer is loaded as
part of startup or after startup under file printer setup, load, etc.
In each instance, the XW process must be aborted. With this Lexmark
printer available in the Windows list of printers, it is not possible to
run XYWIN with a printer (the Lexmark is currenty the only printer on
the system).
Has anyone on the list had a similar problem or can anyone offer a
suggestion for a solution?
Thanks
Dick Giering
