XPL2TXT.RUN, XXEN

XY-> Dorothy Day:
XY-> This is the first of 2 programs; as Chet mentioned, they're somewhat
 -> NB-specific, but work very well and could be modified. Hope this time
 -> they get through.

Dorothy,

Since I not only have Carl's program but Dorothy's as well, here
are both of them as converted:

-----------------------------------------------------------
;TXTTOXPL.RUN{LD-}
{GLSTART}
This is a program that will convert a printable version of an
 XPL file into a regular XPL file.

[Chet: Note that the ENTER after "file" is the last ENTER in this XPL]

{LBSTART}BC es 1XC GT {PRWorking . . .}DX XP {LBseek}

BC ci \{MDNM} \\XC BC ci \NI R1 R7 R4 \{\XC
BC ci \NI R1 R7 R5 \}\XC TF WG BC es 0XC BC GT DO {PRDone}{EX}

-------------------------------------------------------------

;XPLTOTXT.RUN{LD-}
;The command to run the program will be:
;run xpltotxt.run,
{GLStart}
Converts an XPL file to normal NB format file.

[Chet: Note that the ENTER after "file" is the last ENTER in this XPL]

{LBStart}{SX01,{IS00}}SG vxXP BC ci \{\[174]\XC
BC ci \}\[175]\XC [174]OF0,0[175]{PL66}{TP0}{BT0}

--------------------------------------------------------------

The only possible problem with Carl's XPL is that it works on
*all* uppercase letters, so there's the chance that text
descriptions in caps could become a function call. Aside from
that, his XPL seems very steady (even if his label statements are
alphabetic).

Carl, are you going to provide a Xy 3+ version too?
