losing PCLex speller window

Having re-installed Win2000 on my computer, I decided to try reconfiguring XY4 to utilise the PCLEX
dictionaries instead of Microlytics. (There is a problem with using the PCLEX UK dictionary under
win98se - after a number of queries it hangs).  With the PCLEX UK dictionary installed and
operating, I found that under a few circumstances the dictionary window disappears during checking.
 There is a highlighted word on screen (the word being queried) but nothing else. Pressing ALT-I
skips the word and the window reappears for the next word (or maybe the one after). Does anybody
know what causes this glitch?
