Re: How does XyWrite compare with Nota Bene?



In a message dated 96-10-31, Chuck Hendersen wanted to know lots of stuff
about XyWrite. Here are some opinions:

1. The 286 would be fine with Xy3; you probably wouldn't be happy with the
speed of Xy4.
2. Stick with the DOS version of Xy4 on your 133mhz machine. Windows will
give you TT fonts, but the Windows version of Xy4 is quirky and crash-prone.
3. Join this group and download some of the enhancements (you'll get
instructions when you join).
4. If you really want TT fonts, you can export Xy4 to an RTF file and use
Word or even the Win95 "Wordpad," a not half bad applet.
