Re: COMPRESSED PRINT

Irma, is this problem on the screen as you type or at the printer when you
actually print? If the problem is on the screen it is do to XyWrite's
monospaced 10cpi (10characters per inch) screen. A font greater than 10cpi
will go beyond the right margin on screen because the font can actually put
more characters on the line than the 10cpi font. A 17cpi (compressed) font can
actually put 137 characters on a single 80 column line display, this causes the
screen to scroll out to 13.7 on the ruler before wrapping around to the next
line. If the problem is actually at the printer during printing then your
compressed font is using the wrong width table. The printer file you should be
loading is the 3AT&T473.PRN, I have reviewed this file in house and the width
information is correct. This file is available for downloading here on the
BBS, if you are still having a problem upload a test text file and your printer
file so I can take a look at it. Sysop...
