Thanks for your prompt reply. I _do_ have a default drive listed in
STARTUP.INT, but it is set to point to a ramdisk (drive D: in this case). Does
the default disk have to be the same disk as the one being used to store the
XyWrite executables and overlays?

There is one change: I notice that yopu include a colon after the default
drive letter. With 3.52, this was not indicated in the manual. I'll check to
see if the colon makes a difference.
