Yessir! But: I have discovered another interesting thing. If you set d
1a=1, call up a word file in XP (I say, suh, that's expanded mode to old
Leghorn!), delete the crap at the top and the bottom, and then re-save
the file (under another name, of course!), you _can_ recall it as a pure
text file. Indeed, if the file had embedded notes, you will see all the
notes at the end with, as I recall, ascii 6 replacing the numbers, and
there are ascii 6's in the text, indicating where the notes are supposed
to go. It is then easy enough to restore the note numbers with a count
program.
