Re: DOS Windows vs. Full screen, ...and Fonts

I can't believe that I allowed that typo in the subject line to
 pass.

To tell the truth, I don't know a whole lot about the technicalities
associated with fonts. I just know about the fonts that I find
pleasing to the eye when writing and which one's I find most annoy-
ing. It was as a result of Robert's suggestions of a few days ago
that I began experimenting with VGA fonts, and in the process found
what I deem to be a very attractive courier font in the package
FONTED30. I've since modified the font quite a bit, and if I have
to live with XY4, full screen, and this modified courier, I think
I can do that. Of course, I'd rather have an attractive DOS
window font under XP, but I don't know if that is even possible at
the moment. As I said previously, and attractive DOS window font
for XP would be the DOS window font of Windows95. So I am not able
to answer your question Manuel, but I am willing to test out what-
ever you develop as soon as I again have an XP machine available,
which should be soon. At the moment, I'm using Window95, and I've
learned from experience that what works well under W95, can be an
 absolute disaster under XP.

P.S.: Manuel, I'm willing to send you the Courier font for DOS full
screen that I've developed, based on the Courier font that came with
FONTED30. Mind you I am making minor changes to it daily.
