Re: OT: Wireless Internet

Several years back, as I was laying another CAT line for a forth
computer, a read about equipment that turned your house electrical
wiring into a LAN - like you said, Robert, you "plug some sort of modem
into an electric wall outlet, and you're online". I thought that as soon
as it sound like it was "ready for Prime Time" I'd buy it. But it seems
to have faded away. I've been listening for further news, but...nothing.

In rural communities, I'd like to see high-speed Internet delivered over
the power lines. Plug some sort of modem into an electric wall outlet,
and you're online. They tested this in Korea with several MILLION
electric power customers, and it worked.
