Re: converting Xywrite text files en masse to Word?

1. Look up "convert documents" on the MS Word section of your
OfficeXP. That should explain how to convert documents back and
forth from MS-DOS to Word via the "Batch Covention Wizard" (which
definitely does not deserve an Oscar). If it's unclear--which it
probably is, since it's written by geeks, call Microsoft and pay
them $35 to walk you through it slowly.

  2. Substitute in your computer an old copy of MS Word or MS
Works (the simpler version of Word, which is what I use) for the
awful new program which, cointgains MS/DOS only in the "batch
conversion file." .

As far as I know, none of these conversion methods save
things like italics, boldface, etc. in Wortd text or .doc files,
and you have to do it file by file anyway each time you send a
final text to an editor. I don't find that onerous.

Best regards,
