Re: parallel port

My Brother DW 8890 all-in-one (great office-grade B&W laser + large
flatbed scanner + fax, a model from a few years ago; this line has
continued, although I haven't been as impressed with the successor
models that I've seen) also includes a parallel port, which may have
continued with the later ones in that series.  Not many printers still
offer this, I think.  I like knowing it is there, as an option or just
in case, even though this device has been operated wirelessly over the
home network for quite some time.  Even Nota Bene uses it this way.
I still need to jump through some hoops with the vDOSXy ancillary
setup, before that might extend to Xy4.  The same situation applies
for our satellite office, with different printers.
