I have an older copy of MS-Bookshelf for DOS that works quite nicely with XY
3 -- but, alas, not with XY4, since it depends upon seeing the older style "CM"
on the first line of the screen. Sigh! But anyway, if you have a CD-ROM, I'm
sure you can find a copy of MS-Bookshelf for DOS,
(in fact, I've seen it for sale several times recently for very little $)
although I think the last DOS version was '92, and it gives you a very
extensive Dictionary, Thesaurus, Speller, Bartlett's Book of Quotation,
Zip Code Directory, and a bunch of other stuff that all works great from with
XY 3. You put the cursor on a word, hit the hot key, decide if you want
dictionary, speller, etc., or a quote using that word, or a zipcode if you
hi-lite an address, and bingo, it gets it. The quotes, and dict- ionary stuff,
of course, don't just magically jump into your text, you have to cut and paste
that stuff but it all works quite well.
