RE: A radical idea: a new XyWrite

I have a question for as many of you who care to participate.

  1. Which version of XyWrite had the best features?
  2. Which one had features your ‘best’ was lacking, or needed improvement?
  3. Who know what person or business owns the ‘drawer’ with the source code for that ‘best’ version?
    1. Who knows the owner well enough to ask for the original code?
    2. Will they be willing to donate it for free?

                                                               i.      Will the donate, it but maintain some of the ownership?

ii.      Will the sell it to a small, group of esoteric users?

Brass Tax: If I could get an answer to the questions above, (and the source code, as a result,) I could very likely persuade a small group of CS grad students to turn it into a project. Perhaps officially from their department. (I know a few people in high places.)

Please every one: Do some thinking and give back your 10 cent’s worth…

Phil

I never found it so.  Distracting and frustrating, at best.

Looking for an easier path, brings me to XyWin. Wasn't XyWin almost usable?
