clip will not work on new win98 installation

Paul, I am running 98 SE and Clip.exe works beautifully (thanks again to
Robert; that util is a lifesaver). So there is no fundamental
compatibility issue; we just need to figure out what's gumming up the
works. (And I always do a custom install of Windows to leave out a lot of
the detritus MicroSludge wants to load on one's system.) Have you checked
the properties sheet of your shortcut? Have to run now, but later I will
send you copies of the relevant parts of my settings.dfl and registry
files off list, and you can compare them with yours.
