I use an old shareware (or freeware, I think) pgm called
"paletpop" for all my DOS pgms, even XyWrite, to set screen
colors to any of 64 shades. If you want, I'll send it to you (or
anyone else who asks). It's 35k with a 25k help file (unzipped lengths).
