I run OS/2 on my main system and NT4 on the other, since Business
Week requires Windoesn't for access to email.
  The key: synch'ing the two with a removable hard drive in each
box. When I work do real work under NT (fairly rare), it's saved
to the removable HD. A couple times a week, I switch these HDs,
after running a batcher that copies all work directories. Then I
update all my work directories on the NT machine from the OS/2
removable drive (xxcopy will ignore same-date files), then update
the NT directory on the OS/2 system; typically this is just email.
(By choice, I use different email programs on each machine.)
  OS/2's removable HD is updated several times every day with
xxcopy; it takes only about 90 seconds, while I'm getting a cup of
coffee. And once or twice a month, I also xxcopy EVERYTHING to the
HDs (and CDs), after first removing all attributes, including SF
and H, from all of the NT system's files/folders. So the removable
HDs are more than just "backups"--if need be, they're bootable
in conjunction with an emergency diskette (they'll probably boot
without the diskette, but never tried that, since they originally
were the boot drives in older PCs).
