Re: Voice Recognition

Flash,
It was Dragon Naturally Speaking version 10. I'm using it now to dictate this e-mail into Eudora. It just recognized the word Eudora and the word e-mail without my having to correct anything. It's really an amazing voice recognition program.
Now I am dictating into our beloved word processor. It gets the words
correct, and cursor controls operate well, but it has difficulty with the
selection facility -- I. E., defining blocks.

So Dragon NaturallySpeaking works right out of the box with XYWR I TE.
I haven't trained it to recognize the name of our program, and thus when I spelled its name out, it makes some capitalization and spacing errors. But I have not had to correct anything else in this sample.
Now I'm back in Eudora. But I'm still dictating into Dragon
NaturallySpeaking. I don't know how to get Dragon NaturallySpeaking to take
advantage of design right commands (notice that it still can't recognize
the name of our word processor).

Harry,
You once mentioned that you had gotten voice recognition to work with XY. Would you please remind me what the vr program was and whether you had to tweak anything to get it to work?

Thanks,
