For netstat -ao, what does "Established" mean?

I have:

TCP  Fury:1102  Localhost:1103 ESTABLISHED
TCP  Fury:1103  Localhost:1102 ESTABLISHED
That seems to mean I'm listening and established to myself. Is this due to
my having Eudora open? Nope--I just closed it and netstat -ao shows the
same result.
