It depends how you define virus. If you count those stupid Word macros and Windows
scripts that get sent around as attachments and executed by Microsoft Outlook as "virus",
then yes, there have been a lot of viri around. ("I love you" and all that crap.)
If you stick to the classic definition of virus as code that is *hidden*, then I agree -- I have yet
to see one.

Fwiw, I never installed any virus protection software and had never had any problems. But I sure as
hell do not execute any attachment that people send me.
