Well, I don't know if I am one of the youngest people alive in the business who
has hot metal experience, but I've certainly spent my share of time kneeling
before the California Job Case. I attempt to teach the origin of leading,
fonts, "pi" fonts, etc., when I teach typography to these kids, but few of them
care. I don't really blame them. Nowdays, that's almost ancient history. I
guess I'm just a hot-and-cold type person in a cold type world.
