Yes, they work as advertised. Your test for an existing DF block is a
bit laborious, though. Try this instead:

XPLeNCODE v2.0 (ENCODE.A3X)
b-gin [UNTITLED]
[DZ_]{<}IF{<}VA$DE{>}<1{>}[DL_]{<}EI{>};*;
-nd
XPLeNCODE

Func DZ closes an existing DeFine if one is open, otherwise does
nothing. Cleaner than opening a DeFine unnecessarily, then canceling it.
