Re: bad excuse but inquiry

VPC is still being maintained by Microsoft (Their MS for Mac site is
www.mactopia.com) they've just announced a soon to be released VPC
Ver. 7.0. How VPC will change from the original Connectix versions has
yet to be seen.
I had read that MS bought Connectix VPC to develop it for Windows OS so
that XP users would be able to run older Win OS on XP machines!
One may be able to find Connectix VPC for Mac OS on a shelf at an Apple
Store or CompUSA. I actually found version 3.0 bundled with Win 98 SE
for $40 at a Staples Office store in Winter Haven FL last year and then
purchased an upgrade for $99 from the Apple Store in Tampa.

I, too, use a DOS version of Xywrite (3-plus), and have thought of

that the
same is also true with a MAC desk top?

Yes, I can vouch for the desktop option. VPC and other emulators have
been discussed fairly regularly this year, and a search on the archives
should turn up lots of useful hints for those considering a Mac.
One question that I'm not sure has been answered, however, is whether one can still *obtain* VPC since it was acquired from Connectix by Microsoft. Has anyone bought the software in the past year? How? Of course, there's
always E-Bay, which will often give you a luxurious range of versions.
