Word-For-Word

Jordan,

I am glad you have obtained the Word for Word upgrade. Two major warnings:
when working with any products out of Gates-o-Rama, it's best to save the Word
or Excel files first to RTF and then back to XyWrite. Otherwise, you may lose
some formatting. Regardless, you may very well find a mode superscript when
you expect a mode underline or mode italic, and this may very well be cancelled
by a mode bold. In other instances you may find mode bold underline followed
by mode bold followed by the formatted text followed by, say mode superscript
followed by mode normal. Agghhh! The other warning: try to avoid using auto
recogition if you can, especially with WordPerfect conversions. Especially
with smallish WP files, WFW somethings thinks it's a straight ASCII file,
unless you tell it otherwise. If you run into trouble, it's best to call the
file up in WP, if you have it, resave the file as WP4.2 and then run the
conversion. You'll get a lot fewer redundant formatting commands that way,
too.
