Kenny seems to think that hooting or hollering is likely -- so I'll oblige.

The "so far" business is truly galling to people who want a few modest bug
fixes in DOS and a Windows *Word Processor* that is stable and reliable. We
all know, and TTG has all but admitted, that upgrades, even minor ones, are
not forthcoming except as "features" of some vertically integrated product.

Moreover, the "major upgrades" that we did get way back then were done almost
entirely, if not entirely, by XyQuestrian holdovers who had no prior
relationship with TTG and were, at times, wondering if our paychecks would
bounce. Many of us who were not laid off outright stayed on out of loyalty to
each other and commitment to making XyWrite as excellent as we could -- and in
no small part out of respect for and commitment to Dave Erickson.

TTG may have "released" the upgrades, but a rapidly dwindling core of
XyQuestrians did the heavy lifting (including some major menus/dialog routines
by yours truly).

Kenny may be used to, and inured to, the observations about him and TTG in
Amy's article, but by no means are those observations necessarily inaccurate.
(BTW, I was not the source of the "vituperation" in Amy's article. It could
have been any of a number of us.)
