Re: XyWrite text modes show in EditPad Pro

Russ,

EditPad Pro 32-bit can be run in Wine, but I guess that is not quite
enough. And there are many good native editors on the Linux platform,
and many of those are cross-platform. This is indeed a good point.

While there are syntax highlighting solutions in many packages, I have
not been able to get them work appropriately for coloring Xy files. But
then there are so many editors that it is likely that there is some
other editor that can do similar things as EditPad Pro does. And there
are much better syntax coloring hacks than I am. If you find an editor
that could do this, keep me posted.

Hi Kari, I use Edit Pad Pro, at my work, for about a third of what i do, which included editing xml files. Edit Pad Pro is GREAT for LARGE files. It loads them fast and lets me edit them easily. My only issue, is that i was wanting a cross platform editor, and really got bit by the Vim bug! btw, keep in mind that syntax highlighting is a pretty common feature now in most text editor! And creating syntax files is getting easier and easier! fwiw, Russ
