I don't know if this would apply to the problem at hand, but isn't there a switch for searching from the top of the file? Something like: se/t |target| Problem with this from the command line is that you can't just hit F9 to repeat the search: it'll just go to the top again. Tim Baehr tbaehr@xxxxxxxx
