I'm not sure what format the file you've downloaded is in
but supposing that it's .zip, that you've running windows
and that you want Xy III+ installed in the folder c:\xy, you
do this:

- double click on the zip file you've downloaded
- tell the unzipper to extract all the files to c:\xy

That's installation finished - xy doesn't need `installing',
it just needs all its files in the same folder.

For running xy, you can use a bat file but you can equally
just create a shortcut to editor.exe and put it somewhere
convenient - on the desktop or in the menus somewhere. If
you don't know what that means, or can't find it in the
archives of this list, you can just open c:\xy and
double-click on editor.exe.

There are a number of wrinkles and options for getting it
the way you want it but they require knowledge of the
technical language .. The above should get you running.

Printing tho' is another matter altogether. Depending on an
uncountable number of variables, it may work first time - or
..
Have you got a friend nearby who is familiar with Dos,
Windows and printing ?
