Well, it wouldn't have to be a CD. It could be a thumb drive, an extra hard drive, a zip drive--anything that can hold the required amount of data. One strategy is to ftp your the required directory to some website then pull it down to the new computer. The beautiful thing about Xy4DOS is that it doesn't need installation.
