I have at least a dozen Mail folder sub-categories for Xy this way, but as the
Saved message count gets high, this becomes an inelegant method, come searching
time. What I intend to do, as soon as it's convenient, is to dump all of these
messages into discrete reference files. So, all the messages regarding, say,
Display issues will wind up in a file called something like DISPLAY.REF. Such
individual category files should not be too large (because they are essentially
Ascii), and should be more accessible for keyword searches. I can probably
reset each Mail folder to zero at that point also, which will make things less
confusing for new mail that is worth saving.
