There's a helpful disquisition on this topic in Tyson's pp. 266-69. There may also be a more complete treatment in the
old XyIII manual, which I have, and even know where it is (rare thing,
that), but cannot get at right now, owing to a long-ongoing physical
office reorganization. I know I did a lot of work in this area some years
ago, so I must have gotten the information somewhere, and it obviously
wasn't the Xy 4 manual (either vol.).
