Xywrite with Windows 98

Dear fellow Xywrite lovers:
I'm trying to get my Xywrite III plus to work in the MS-DOS
section of Windows 98, but certain functions -- ty [for print] , and critical
commands /files for converting my Xywrite text to ASCII and then forwarding it
to my AOL directory for e-mailing, don't work reliably or sometimes at all.
(The print command, when it works, is just "a dos print" document, and it
ignored all my margins and Xywrite settings.
. Thus, I can't do my business as a writer on my new fancy
computer. When I do the ascii conversion program, which involves going to the
command line and typing in "lp e-mail.prn", it doesn't work reliably or in
some of my directories. The error message is something like "can't find file
c:\win...."...[then I can't read the rest]. A friend's guess is that it's a
path problem, and I should just plug in C:\Xywrite in the new autoexec.bat
file in windows 98. I'm not sure that will work, so what else might be the
problem? Also, who do you recommend that I actually call on the phone to get
some help? I'm not sure technology group will be able to handle this for me.
Thanks for your advice. Best, Art Levine, 305-865-8833, ArtL7@xxxxxxxx
