Do this: Extract LIST.COM to C:\WINDOWS[or \WINNT]\system32 [or other
directory in the DOS PATH]. In DOS, locate in same directory (e.g.
C:\WINDOWS). Get the name of any file in C:\WINDOWS (do a DIR). Command:
LIST anyfile.ext. Hit the W key ONCE. Hit Alt-C. Hit Escape. Don't do
anything else.

You just Cloned LIST.COM with Word Wrap turned on.

Alt-H displays a file in Hex.
