I don't know if this will help, and it seems unlikely, but I found
several online references to TMF as
"a file extension associated with WordPerfect Tagged Typeface Metric files" ... here: http://www.file-extension.com/files/TMF/

You could use the same routine, suitably altered, that Carl
recommended to Maben: include in startup.int a line that reads
BX dos/nv/x/z /c del d:\XY4\*.TMPQ2 ;*;
substituting the actual functions (CommandLine PFUNC BX) for BX
and Q2 and the actual path to editor.exe's directory.
