Re: dbDOS sells vDosPlus for $149

Hi Kari,

Thanks for your words. In order to make things easier for other users to access the software, I have already re-enabled the vdosplus.org site. In addition to the official build and other downloads of the vDosPlus 2015.11.01 branch, I have also put a direct download link to Edward Mendelson's customized vDosPlus build of the 2017.08.01 branch (build 2018.03.01) on the website. Hope this will be useful for those who still need the software.

Hello Wengier,

I am quite happy with what I have. It is a pity the vdosplus.org site is
not online. Your work had many merits, and deserves to be properly
presented online. It is unfortunate that a solution both you and Jos
could live with has not been found. I do not know exactly what has
happened behind the scenes, and there is no need to discuss it here. But
the current situation is not ideal from the standpoint of those who have
greatly benefited from vDosPlus development like the members of this
list. Jos' nag screen concerned only a few of us, and was a very
marginal issue for most of us anyway in terms of cost and/or principle.
While open source and free software is nice, most of us resort to some
commercial programs, and a happy developer who makes some money from his
efforts is better than no developer at all. And some version of vDosPlus
is much better than no version at all.

Long live vDosPlus!
