Hi Patricia,

I'm pretty sure that the Mac OS is actually some form Linux, under
the hood. But, there is a rather elaborate GUI, as the face it
shows to the world. The genius of it (is said to be) how it works
for the non-techie user, the user-handholding and hiding away of all
the gory details of running a very capable personal computer system.
Much more so than what Redmond has achieved -- apparently -- if you
consider the propensity for things to go wrong. Where else are you
going to go, to get that level of ease for the relatively clueless ?
Certainly not with mainstream Linux.
