vDosPlus: sometimes slow to load

I'm using the 17 Oct. 2017 build of vDosPlus under Win10. On my 
machine it usually loads in 2-3 seconds. But in the last couple of 
weeks, it has *often* been taking much longer to load--31 or 32 
seconds (with no error message or sign of life until, suddenly, it's 
there). Any idea why this might be happening?
