The latest version of DOSBox-X (0.83.20) has officially been released! Designing to be a complete and cross-platform DOS emulator, there are many new features, improvements and other fixes in this new release compared with the previous version 0.83.19, such as support for Pentium 2 emulation, DCGA and Toshiba J-3100 machine types, new DOS commands, changing serial & parallel port options at run-time, improved Chinese/Japanese/Korean support, unit testing based on Google Test framework, and many more. You can find the DOSBox-X 0.83.20 release notes (containing the notable features and usability improvements etc) here:

 

Windows installers and Linux Flatpak packages for DOSBox-X 0.83.20 are officially available to ease the installation, in addition to other packages including portable packages for Windows, Linux, macOS and DOS. You will find the official downloads for them from the DOSBox-X homepage:

 

For example, the 32-bit and 64-bit Windows installers are available from:

 

32-bit (Windows XP+): dosbox-x-win32-0.83.20-setup.exe

64-bit (Windows Vista+): dosbox-x-win64-0.83.20-setup.exe

 

You can also download a Windows portable version based on the latest code from:

As with previous version, it has the TrueType font output, clipboard device (CLIP$) and the dynamic_x86 CPU core set by default which are more optimized for XyWrite.
