read-only errors in EM DOSbox distro

I'm getting again that error message when I try to invoke the EM 
distro which I downloaded again to make sure I had the latest version.

The first time I had it a few weeks ago, the problem was that I was 
invoking the command from the downloads folder. But this time I am in 
my user folder where things have worked previously.

Any ideas anyone?
