The idea of using Xy to automate the writing of batch files (which Marc
and I apparently came up with independently; anyone else?) opens up all
sorts of possibilities.
Yes. I've been doing that for a couple of years. I also use Xy to generate
certain form-letter-emails with variable data in them (e.g., receipts for
payments) by making an .mbx file for Eudora (though would probably work
with any email program, don't they all accept Pine format?). It's
stunningly simple and yet it isn't obvious to think of Xy making files for
other programs to use.
