≪screen refresh rate is more important than the brightness. You should
try for a rate < 25.≫
Hmm, screen refresh is not something I find mentioned in any of the spec
lists. Some give response times, which range from 16 to 25 milliseconds.
Hroizontal and (less frequently) vertical rates are also listed, ranging
from 31-63 KHz horizontal and 56-75 Hz vertical. Yet more info to watch
for. Thanks.

Thanks for the reminder, but I don't care if it's the best thing since
sliced bread. I have no intention of paying more of my hard-earned money
to M$ for more Redmond Rubbish. When I can no longer get hardware that
will run 98SE, I jump ship to Linux. Sooner, if possible. It was TrueType
that suckered me into the Windows morass, and once bit, twice shy. The
only consideration that has made me dally with the idea is that I cannot
help others if I'm not running the same garbage.
