AbiWord (OFF-TOPIC)

I've belatedly learnt of the existence of another interesting-sounding word
processor. I haven't yet tried it out (this is the busiest month of my
year) and no doubt it's buggy -- but AbiWord http://www.abisource.com/
exists, is compact, is free, is open-source, can be downloaded right now,
and uses XML format. No it doesn't handle Unicode, but Nathan Sivin and we
other orientals will be happy to learn that the writers are soliciting help
for this and related issues:
http://www.abisource.com/mailinglists/abiword-dev/99/March/0128.html .
(As at least one other member of this list would point out, there are
plenty of other forums for the discussion of AbiWord. I don't propose to
start a thread about it; I merely thought I'd bring it to your attention.)
