Eric van Tassel asks about converting between Word and XY 4.015. First, what
version of Word? That is often the crucial question, since the XY filters
are badly out of date. Second, since you are obviously using XW, with some
somewhat more up-to-date filters, did you try to use that to import the Word
file?

I too wondered why the "import" menu item is sometimes grayed out. The
answer in my case (not necessarily in yours) turned out to be that you have
to have a file open before you can import.
