I am running XyWrite 4.018 in WinXP Professional and it does better than it
ever has, both as a window and full screen.
My settings are in Properties Shortcut Tab Run = Normal window
Options: Cursor size = small, Display options = Window, Command history =
buffer size = 50 and Number of buffers = 4, Edit options = Insert mode
Font Size 8X12 Font = Raster font
Layout Screen buffer size : Width = 80, Height = 300
Window size Width = 80, Height = 25
Window Position Let system position window box is checked
Colors are what ever I liked
Compatability only the box for Disable visual themes was checked.
That's it.
I mainly run XyWrite so I can run Hotline, a very old DOS telephone dialer.
I have every note and phone number I have called since around 1987 in a
single flat file (very carefully backed up.
The file I use to start XyWrite is:
D:
CD\HL
HOTLINE
C:
CD\ZWC\XY4
EDITOR/E4000 (I forgot what that E4000 thing is about. I think its been
there for years.)
