"Formatted View" switchover

First, I want to complain about my subject heading being highjacked by
"Reply Button" pushers for general carping about the way the XY world is. I
know it built up gradually, but at some point lets call it a new subject.
(I have changed my own just now.)

Concerning my original "Another Formatted View bug," unbidden switching to
Formatted View from Draft View: Yes, I do have column tables, two of them a
few pages long each, at the very end of a 300 page document (with no
graphics). Of course I do edit them in Formatted View, although I seldom
access them at all. (Note my previous post of Nov. 10th pointing out that
the documented cursor navigation in column tables does not work.)

The switchover only occurs if I SAVE from well past the middle of the
document, never from near the beginning. But I always SAVE from before the
column tables, not within them. And it is not just SAVE that causes a
switchover. I have experienced it just now when doing a Search Absolute
from the middle of the document to the end of the text for /The End/. I
tried to repeat this later and got no switchover. Jim.
